McDonald Plumbing, Heating and Air has contributed towards the building of a new home by providing heating and air equipment. Also, McDonald PHAC has volunteered improvements to disadvantage families.

Vince McDonald attended Oak Park’s Christian Brothers High School, graduating in the class of ’72. Each year, McDonald Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning sponsors the Wine, Beer and Food Extravaganza. This signature event raises funds for the high quality programs at CBHS.
Effie Yeaw Nature Center
NatureFest, our largest family event of the year! NatureFest promotes science & nature education and safe & healthy outdoor recreation and includes live animal shows, kids activities, demonstrations, guided nature hikes, and family-friendly food in the beautiful Nature Center area. Enjoy animal shows from Wild Things and West Coast Falconry on the main stage and close up visits with the Nature Center’s own ambassador animals at Critter Corner. The Effie Yeaw Nature Center takes care of more than a dozen non-releasable animals native to the American River system. These animals cannot be returned to their native habitat. In many cases they have been injured, orphaned or grown too accustomed to people.

Home Energy Efficiency Expo
SMUD’s Home Energy Efficiency Expo is a great way to kick off your summer home improvement projects. You can attend thirty-seven workshops in our Energy and Technology Center, visit exhibits to speak to vendors, as well as talk to our energy efficiency representatives about SMUD’s rebates and energy saving tools.
SCNA represents over 2,500 households in the historic Curtis Park neighborhood located just south of downtown Sacramento. Sierra 2 Center is a welcoming gathering place for neighbors as well as the entire Sacramento community. Sierra 2 Senior Center SCNA and the community support a thriving Senior Center, which offers people social interaction and activities.
